Gandi means gorge in Telegu and Kota means
fort. The fort is famous for its peculiar landscape formed by the Pennar river
cutting through the Erramala Hills forming a giant gorge.
The place has well-connected roads and is
easily accessible by cars.
From a far-flung, it seemed as if the entire road was obstructed by a colossal gate, something that reminds us about history.
That is.. Gandikota Fort, established on the time of powerful Pemmasani Dynasty.
The
next attractions of Gandikota are camping, trekking and kayaking.
Camping
is such a bliss here. It is really a
lifetime majestic experience. The sunset in the middle of the gorge is a wonder to
watch. At night you can enjoy the campfire under the
stars.
The next morning you can trek to enjoy the mystical
charm sunrise from the canyon. After that, you can head out to the Penna river, play
in the water or indulge in Kayaking.

Few journeys in life leave you spellbound and
make you feel grateful for witnessing natural wonders at close quarters. For me, it was one such experience.
